EXCLUSIVE TRACK: The Heaven Seventies - I Wanna F*ck (All Night Long)

[The Heaven Seventies]

Before I can even get into the madness that went down at WMC this year, I have to hit you with this brand new unreleased track we just received. The Heaven Seventies are a dance pop band and a killer production/songwriting team out of Chicago, Illinois. When I first heard this track my jaw literally dropped; I can see the potential it has to kill dance-floors all over the world. The vocals are sexy and the bass-line is even sexier. Don't miss this one, give it a listen.

[Electro House]

Huge thanks again to Loren of The Heaven Seventies for the track.

Sounds like LMFAO wannabes. That's all we need. Can we let this die already? It appeals to the lowest common denominator of club goers. One of the guys from LMFAO was spotted in South Beach trying to get free drinks by showing off his LMFAO tattoo and saying, "Don't you know who I am?" We don't need another cheesy electro pop group on the scene fueled by over-inflated egos and lackluster talent.

this song is STRAIGHT GARBAGE.

Does sound like LMFAO... and I was watching LMFAO walk around my hotel at WMC doing exactly what you said they were.

Nonetheless, this is a hot track. Have some respect for up and coming artists.

You're favorite big name DJ's won't be around forever...

You guys are smoking mad rock if you think this is a great track. Hook me up guys!!! ;-) This track is like a joke track... you could get away with it in LA. but it's just a laugh track. SCo.... I played your 3-6-Mafia mashup in South Beach... it had some ladies dancing... I had to turn the levels up on the gain, high, mid, and bass to get it to match my other tracks... but I have to do that on my own produced tracks as well that are mastered by pros that have been in the game for years as well as my mastering jobs... just wanted to let you know... any ideas on how to fix that? There has got to be a way to get it to sound like the best club tracks done by the likes of Angello, Axwell, and Deadmau5.

Yeah I have the same problem.... If I turn it any louder in reason or ableton it distorts the track. I just adjust the gain accordingly, which you should always do, even slightly.

That's why those guys make the big bucks though....

Good feedback, I'll let u know if I can figure it out.

PS. we can get away with it in LA.

the gain problems are all in the mixing and mastering: using different samples taken from different places makes every track slightly different.

also, if you're using Live to DJ, look at the waveforms. most dance music (house, trance, DnB) are brickwall limited to fucking oblivion to ensure maximum "loudness."

personally, i mix with a limiter on my master channel so that all tracks sound somewhat "glued" together. a buss compressor would do pretty much the same thing.

forgot to mention:

if you master yourself, read up on multi-band compression. its one of the reasons Deadmau5 et al's tracks thump so hard.
