Deadmau5 - Ghosts and Stuff

Wow.... This track is so fucking sick! Deadmau5 shows Edbanger and all the hardcore electro kids he can hang. I am honestly not as into the crazy blaring siren filled electro that first came to the scene, I like the more melodic and rhythmic bass driven electro. "Ghosts and stuff" and Justice's smash hit "Phantom" sounds somewhat similar, you can definitely see where he got his inspiration from.

So I go out and buy NBA 2k9 yesterday and pop in into the xbox360. This track starts playing.

The Bloody Beetroots - Mac Mac

They are starting to throw dank electro into these video game soundtracks, most likely to please European audiences. I LOVE IT.

Anyways, The Bloody Beetroots are an electro tandem from Italy that are known for their punk-style electro. Personally, I can't get enough of it.

Fist Of God Tour

MSTRKRFT officially kicked off their North American Tour on Sept. 26th at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA. Tour dates are posted on their myspace.

Luckily, I had the pleasure of going to their Fist Of God Tour last Tuesday night in Chicago. The show was epic, playing at the small but cozy Double Door Nightclub. Not only was I able to get incredibly close, but there was actually room to dance. JFK and AI-P constantly take swigs from a bottle of Crown Royal as the set progresses (they finished well over half in the 2 hour set.) I don't know whether Chicago has no love for electro or what, but I expected the venue to be way more full. Nonetheless, better for me.

After the show, I stuck around and luckily got to meet Jesse F. Keeler (JFK), the mastermind behind the music of MSTRKRFT. He is actually a really cool dude. He told me he couldn't hear shit during the show, just what was in his headphones. Ridiculous set for those circumstances.

He also said that about half of their new album is in the set, which should drop sometime around the new year.

Now that LA Riots have released this track, I can offically say I'm a fan... Not that I didn't like some of his stuff before, I just thought it wasn't melodic or rhythmic enough to survive the short lived electro craze. All fads fade, and this truly talented producer is here to stay. This track is a heavy hitter with tons of energy. Can't wait to bump this one!

War - Lowrider (DJ Kue Remix)
DJ Kue is on fire!!! Love the heavy baseline in this track and the perfect amount of sampling while making the track still sound completely original. This one will have a comfortable spot on my playlist for a while.

M.I.A. - Paper Planes (LAZRtag Remix)
Just when you think people are done remixing this song, LAZRtag works their magic and makes a stellar remix. I'm not always fond of tracks that have a tempo transition but of course, LAZRtag pulls it off beautifully. ill.

Nick Terranova - Breakaway (Klaas Remix)
I usually always feel Klaas' tracks but sometimes they are a little too similiar... This one has his powerful trademark synth bumping a beautiful baseline. Not the newest track, but one of the best from Klaas as of recently.

Human Resource - Dominator (Chew Fu 2011 B-Boy Shizle Remix)
Dominator has been around for a while and been remixed by everyone, but I have to say Chew Fu turned this one into an amazing tune. I'm REALLY enjoying this right now... At first I was partial, but that heavy rolling bassline w/ those old school rave sounds are untouchable.

Electro/house/progressive at its best... Dabruck & Klein have been making some serious club hits lately and I know I've been bumping their shit for a while now. Their tracks are such bangers but not the electro type that the word banger usually gets associated with. Amazing progressions; the best part of the song usually doesnt drop until half way through and theres new sounds constantly being added. These guys are fucking money. Period.

I've had a couple of their tracks for a while, but not I am starting to realize that their sound is real and different. Some artist brand their sound and every track after that sounds too similar...
