Be Nyce.

So the releases have been kind of slow lately, but this one is noteworthy. Any release on deadmau5's label is noteworthy for that matter. Anyways, don't have much time to talk about this one so I'll let the music speak for itself. Enjoy!

Inside Look At Laidback Luke's Studio...

[Personal Tour of Laidback Luke's Studio]

For all you people that think the worlds chart topping dance tracks are made in big expensive studios on all of the best equipment, well this will blow your mind. You say in all fairness that Luke's studio is almost not a studio. Its a small room, non-treated room, with only two keyboards, two standard speakers, 1 mic, and a screen on a small desk. He even shows us the line of plug-ins that he uses, which are all free. Laidback Luke now uses Ableton, so this video is a little old, but nonetheless relevant.

If your musically talented, then you can make music. You don't need the most expensive equipment and latest technology, as much as you need creativity and love for the music. Some serious, big-time famous tracks were made in the little space of Luke's.

To Laidback Luke; keep making great dance music and inspiring other producers to push the boundaries of what makes the club bounce! Respect!

Milk & Honey - Felguk Mix

I've been waiting a long time to here how this one was going to turn out. The original mix to this track put Soundpusher on the map and literally made me a fiend for their music. The Felguk mix adds a heavier synth and of coarse that classic Felguk sound that comes in about halfway through. Soundpusher guys are my dudes so I'm posting in 192kbps. If you want it in 320 you can grab it here.

Waves Of Change...

[Kaskade]

"The only thing constant in life is change."

Kaskade is without a doubt one of the most talented producers in the game. I remember seeing him at EDC in Los Angeles about 3-4 years ago, and I didn't know that much about Kaskade, but after that I kept my eye on him. He killed it. Since then he's released huge #1 tracks with both Deadmau5 and Tommy Trash. "Move For Me", and "Step One Two" are going to become classics eventually in my opinion. He's got no plans of slowing down either, this track is another amazing production. If you like this song, then you will like his others, so purchase his music at Beatport.

Is That You?

The official release for this track hit Beatport today, and it's a must grab. Party Dark is a new project out of the UK that consists of Randy & J-Rock (formerly of the Hip-Hop/R&B group Big Brovaz). As you can tell by this track, they're currently working with dance music producers to bring us something new. Anyways, S.co and I are huge fans of this sound. There's also an EP of fidget remixes for all you fidget fiends out there. Check out their myspace.

New and Noteworthy.

[So it turns out the girl we used in the banner is a topless DJ from Hungary? Niki Belucci? Really?]

So I've got some exciting tunes for the readers today. The first one is a track from Soundpusher, whose music has made a home here on the 310 blog. They sent me the track this morning and I've already listened to it 8 times all the way through. It's more mainstream than their usual stuff, but it turned out really well. Hopefully this will get played out in the clubs and these guys can get some of the credit they deserve. The vocals with that massive synth, forget about it - ladies watch out, this one is a club banger. They're currently working with Bad Boy Bill on some things and have a new single on the way called "Wanna Get Next To You" feat. Whiskey Pete, which we should have a snippet of fairly soon.

[Electro House]

Here's a track by the legendary Sgt Slick that just keeps growing and growing on me. At first, I thought it was too repetitive to post but it's really not. When it drops at 2:15, you'll understand why. Great track.

I'm finally back from my hiatus, which was spent pretty much entirely in the studio. I've been stacking up the hits and I'm ready to unleash on all our loyal readers that have supported the blog since its birth. 310 isn't just a music blog, its a movement. I want to spread truly dope music around Los Angeles in hopes that it will influence others in the positive way it has influenced me. I'm Baaaaaaaacckk.

[Paul Gala]

Kopedale speaking. Sorry I've been out of commission, sadly its been almost 3 months since my last post. Long story short, I wasn't happy with the direction Three One Oh! was headed in. We started out as an Electro/Fidget blog, but in my opinion the fidget is getting worse and worse. Artists like Micky Slim, Calvertron, and Crookers are why we started this blog in the first place, but today I can't post their newer releases with the confidence I once had. This is why we are no longer classifying ourselves as a fidget blog. The new Three One Oh! is going be Electro House, Progressive House, and House releases only. I (Kopedale) will be posting mostly Electro House while S.co has been focusing mainly on Progressive and House lately. With the help of our readers, the blog can be what it used to and better. Trust us, this is just the beginning of Three One Oh Electro.

But enough babble...

Paul Gala's Leaves EP just dropped on Beatport and I have to say I'm damn impressed with this guy. His track "Leaves" is a progressive gem with a monster electro drop. What more could you ask for? Expect a huge year for Paul Gala.

New Soundpusher Anyone?

Ok, so where do I start with these Soundpusher guys?
- They hold it down out of one of my favorite cities in the world, Chi Town
- They came out of nowhere and got signed to two of the biggest electro labels in the game, BugEyed and Tiger Records
- Their originals Milk & Honey and Swagga have had ENORMOUS success on Beatport
- They have yet to hit the DJ scene
- And the best part, they actually care about the music and are nice people

So on to the music. Feel That Beat dropped today on Beatport, so here is the original and Soundpusher remix.

[Electro House]

[Electro House]

And due out Nov 23rd, their remix of Hirshee's "California"

[Electro House]

The Soundpusher guys told me that these new remixes do not represent where they plan to go stylistically. They definitely sound a lot different than their usual stuff, but I like it when producers switch up their styles, it gives us something new. Nonetheless, they are currently working on a new original that they sound more than excited about. It should hit us sometime in December, so stay tuned for more updates.

P.S. We do not post Soundpusher releases in HQ, so don't even ask. Buy their music here.

Comments, feedback, & suggestions related to Soundpusher would be greatly appreciated.

Rio, São Paulo, Electro.

Finally some new Felguk to be excited about. Collaborating with producer and director of Giant Pussy Records, this track brings something different with a big-room, tech-funk feel.

Their myspace page comments on the track.
"Fusing both producers love of the cutting-edge and massive drums with the current stripped-down vibe, this serious cross-over tune keeps things huge and minimal but delivers like a nuclear pay-load."

[Electro House]

And massive drums indeed. Can't wait to hear this one in the clubs.

Find more Felguk tracks here.
