Crookers Remix Britney???

So the Crookers have been coming out with some pretty wild stuff lately. Their last couple releases have been too fidgety for me to even enjoy, but this one takes takes a nice step back towards the electro house genre. Unfortunately, it's still a Britney Spears remix but hey, at least you know the ladies will love it.  :op

Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy (Crookers Remix)

[Fidget House]

P.S. as for all the readers bitching about us incorrectly labeling genres, shut the f*ck up. We label these tracks not to tell you whether the song is 100% fidget or electro, but to give you a better idea of what genre that artist usually works in. Artists play around with different genres all the time, so perfecting that would be tedious. You guys are smart people, you can handle that one for yourselves.

Raven Remixes

Today I have another Crookers preview for you, except this one I'm really thrilled about. Pete Tong describes them to have "touched their massive golden finger" onto the track and I couldn't agree more. Can't wait till this one hits us.

The Proxy - Raven (Crookers Remix)*BBC Radio 1 Preview*

[Electro House]

*BONUS*

Here's a remix created by one of our beloved Three One Oh! readers. Show Matthew some support!

New Crookers!? SUNDAY LOVE

[Crookers now using Serato? Look at the Vinyls...]

The Crookers are back with their new release "What Up Y'all" and I have to give them props because, they kept their original crookers sound that everyone appears to love, but switched up the melody and song format to bring something fresh to the table. Hopefully they will really step up soon and come out with some fresh bangers, because as of lately, there hasn't been any face-melting, dancefloor bombing Fidget tracks coming out. With the exception of Calvertron, Heavyfeet, Jackbeats, and Kelevra (whom I'm still iffy about), the fidget game has been somewhat quite. Personally, I can't wait for Herve to start releasing some more fire...

DJ S.co's Top 10 Tracks Of 2008

[A little something for those who weren't at my birthday party...]

DJ S.co's Top 10 Tracks of the year!!!!! It took me so long to decide, and I didn't want to put more than one song on the list by any artist, besides my ARTIST OF THE YEAR, Wolfgang Gartner. He is indubitably the best new artist of 2008. I know when I look back on 2008 in three years, I will think of his tracks first. I tried to decide best, which tracks to pick, and by which artist, so that every artist that deserves a spot on my top 10 can get one, even though I did miss out on a couple I wish I could fit in :-( Nonetheless, it has been an amazing year, and I am more than looking forward to 2009, as I continue to prove to people what DJ S.co and Three One Oh! is all about, one show at a time.

CROOKERS /// AutoErotique /// Surkin

[One of the funniest youtube videos ever... "BAM, hit those little niggas w/ a freeze pop"]

Out There Brothers - Enjoy (Crookers Remix)
Crookers, Crookers, Crookers... I've said a grip about them already. Fuckin' love them for their SICKKKK the intro on their BBC RADIO 1 LIVE CROOKERS MIX... you gotta peep it.

AutoErotique - Gladiator (Original Mix)
You probrably take a look at this track and say, WTF? AutoErotique is 1/2 of the epic group from Toronto VNDLSM. Not to be confused with Vandalism... VND & LSM first E.P. The Goods and Services, is going to be epic. I'm loving this track, put it on in ya whip and bump at maximum levels. Feel my joy.

fRew & Jess Higs - Fixed Mind (Original Mix)
I have had high expectations for fRew for a while because I enjoyed his older tracks so much and felt there was really room for him to brand his sound. I'm all about it this track sounds fresh and clean with a nice dirty figet bass dominating the track but carrying it beautifully.

Catt Richards - Deviating Space (Bass Kleph Remix)
The second I heard this I invisioned dropping it right after The Bomb (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind...) DOPE track. Bass Kleph is G.

80tt0 - 0zer0 (Herve's Hypnotherapy Remix)
Great mello track, Herve samples some perfect natural sounds and puts this track together beautiful. Fuckin' Herve... This guys is killing it right now and this track is an example of just another genre Herve can break into and call his bitch.

Three One Oh! Bonus feel good tracks?!
Surkin - Next of Kin (Original Mix)
If you like'd GRUM from my last post, check this out. Excellent melodic indie vocal electro, ha.

Nick Supply - Hiznhiz (Stupid Fresh Remix)
Very bouncy/fun figet track. I've been bumping this for a while and I def thought some people would be down.

Kill The Noise /// Wolfgang Gartner /// Foamo

[In case your ever starving, and thinking about robbing someone, just do this...]

GRUM - Woah
Such a great tune... Almost doesn't have an electro feel to it because its so melodic and disco. I'm definitely bumping this the first chance I get. This Nu-wave/Disco stuff, if done well, can be really sick. Good music is good music. Doesn't have to be a "Banger" to bang, no pun intended.

VEGA - All Too Vivid (Kill The Noise Remix)
Another track along with GRUM I've been listening too, again, dope electro done disco style to perfection. Both of these tracks will work their way into my sets and I'm sure if you give them a good listen they will become favorites of yours as well. DANK SHIT!

Mystery Jets - Half In Love With Elizabeth (Foamo Remix)
Go show Foamo some love on his myspace right now. If this post wasn't full of so many different types of sick tracks, I would say this is my favorite track. Foamo is killing it, his production is outstanding, and his tracks have attitude. Another hit to put into heavy rotation, I played it last weekend and people didn't know what to do with that fat dirty bassline besides get down. Whew.

Dive, Jin Sonic - Play (Wolfgang Gartner Remix) **Removed By Artists Request**
Wolfgang Gartner is another producer who is making flawless tracks. This remix of Play is an excellent track, the fat fidget bassline never gets too repeatetive because of all the beautiful yet slight progressions. Check this one out FORSURE.

And lastly, a track so fresh I don't even wanna post the name... HINT! Crookers

Fist Of God Tour

MSTRKRFT officially kicked off their North American Tour on Sept. 26th at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA. Tour dates are posted on their myspace.

Luckily, I had the pleasure of going to their Fist Of God Tour last Tuesday night in Chicago. The show was epic, playing at the small but cozy Double Door Nightclub. Not only was I able to get incredibly close, but there was actually room to dance. JFK and AI-P constantly take swigs from a bottle of Crown Royal as the set progresses (they finished well over half in the 2 hour set.) I don't know whether Chicago has no love for electro or what, but I expected the venue to be way more full. Nonetheless, better for me.

MSTRKRFT spinnin' Easy Love @ Double Door

Here are some tracks to look for if you hit up their tour (which you really should.).

MSTRKRFT - Vuvuvu

MSTRKRFT - Bounce (Feat. N.O.R.E.)

Kylie - WOW (MSTRKRFT Remix)

D.I.M. - Is You (JFK Remix)

Usher - Love In This Club (MSTRKRFT Remix)

MSTRKRFT - Easy Love

After the show, I stuck around and luckily got to meet Jesse F. Keeler (JFK), the mastermind behind the music of MSTRKRFT. He is actually a really cool dude. He told me he couldn't hear shit during the show, just what was in his headphones. Ridiculous set for those circumstances.

He also said that about half of their new album is in the set, which should drop sometime around the new year.

New S.© Approved Bangers

Shinichi Osawa - Rendezvous (Crookers Remix)

NEW!!! I like where The Crookers are taking their sound... sick track.

N.A.S.A. ft. Method Man, E40, DJ Swamp - N.A.S.A. Music (LA Riots Remix)

SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. Download this now and let the song speak for itself.

MSTRKRFT - Bounce (Bloody Beetroots Remix)

Finally in 320k... Usually when you try to remix a track thats alright flawless it just does it shame, this track is fucking ill. All I do is party ha ha ha.

Fragma - Tocas Miracle (Vandalism Remix)

Best mix of this track I've heard yet. If you haven't seen the way Vandalism performs live you should check it out on youtube... Very unique, they've def branded their sound now its just a matter of where it will go..

The Kills - Cheap And Cheerful (Fake Blood Remix)

I've known Skeet Skeet for a cool minute since we went to Beverly High together. He posted this track on his blog, Eat Skeet, and I'm totally diging the sample and that heavy fidget bassline... Sick. Not sure how much I will get to play it yet but its a great track and I'm feelin' alot of the stuff Fake Blood is releasing right now.
